They died for the sanctity of marriage and the indissolubility of the sacrament. They were sons of St. Francis, martyred in the Franciscan Jubilee year. Each of these three narratives carries weight for a different community in the American Church.

Catholic Imprint has an established relationship with the Diocese of Savannah and has been preparing devotional materials for this beatification since the announcement. Prayer cards are available in English and Spanish. Banner sets are available for parish installation and for the beatification ceremony itself.

Note on terminology: the Georgia Martyrs are currently Venerable Servants of God. All materials produced before the beatification ceremony on October 31, 2026 use 'Venerable' — not 'Blessed.' Materials produced after the ceremony may use 'Blessed.' Catholic Imprint will update product language at the appropriate time.

Who They Are

The Georgia Martyrs — Venerable Pedro de Corpa, Blas Rodriguez, Miguel de Añon, Francisco de Berascola, and Antonio de Badajoz — were Franciscan missionaries martyred in 1597 in what is now coastal Georgia.
